A massive thank you to the lovely Katie, Princess of Christmas, at Life With Ktkinnes for tagging me in the Christmas tag.
I’m currently sat listening to my favourite Christmas tunes whilst drinking a mulled flavour tea. I got far too excited about Christmas far too early this year. As I write this, its October and I’m already listening to Christmas music, eating mince pies and Christmas stollen and planning Christmas.
Here’s my Christmas tag part one:

The Original Questions
- When do your decorations go up?
The decorations usually go up on or near the 1st December each year and we take them down on New Years Day. By then we have had enough of them and want to get back to reality. But this year something strange happened, people started to put up their decorations mid November, so we decided to join them though I waited till a week after as I wasn’t quite ready for them.
2. Who is the Scrooge in your family or friendship group?
It has to be one of our friends, he doesn’t like the build up to Christmas. He usually doesn’t get involved with anything Christmassy until Christmas Day.
3. If money were no object, how and where would you spend Christmas?
I loved it when we visited the Christmas markets in Munich, I’ve never felt as festive as when we were there. We were like little kids with all the lights and decorations. I’d love to go back and find a cabin with a hot tub. It was beautiful with snow in the fields. I’m hoping we can get there next year now.
4. What Christmas film do you have to watch every festive season?
There isn’t really a film I have to watch, I just watch what’s on TV. I love watching Christmas specials, there’s a few Christmassy ones on Netflix at the moment that I’d like to watch. I do love Die Hard and yes, it is a Christmas movie! I also love The Snowman, its brilliant.
5. Who do you find hardest to buy presents for?
My sister, she has everything she wants as she just buys it. Its always difficult to know what to get her and my brother in law. Though hopefully this year I’ve got it spot on and she’ll love what I’ve got. She likes anything I get her anyway, or she’s too polite to say otherwise 🙂
6. Would you rather buy lots of little presents for a hamper, or buy one big/main present?
I usually go for lots of little presents, so there’s more to open. But this year we’ve gone for main ones.
7. What did you leave out for Santa when you were a child?
We always left him a drink and mince pie when we were younger.
8. Where did you spend last Christmas?
I think we stayed at home for Christmas last year?? It seems so long ago I cant remember!
9. Which Christmas song makes you cringe?
It has to be The Pogues, Fairytale in New York. Not sure why as its one of the main songs that when it comes on you know its Christmas. Lots of people love that song.
10. If you could be a character in a holiday movie, who would you be and why?
I did a quiz for this as I have no idea, turns out I’d be Sally from “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. For you, the two most important days of the year are Christmas and Halloween. Well, Halloween has passed and Christmas really brings out the romantic in you. Time to stand under the mistletoe with your Jack Skellington! That suits me, I just LOVE Tim Burton characters.
- What is your favourite Christmas decoration in your house and why?
I just love my fairy lights, they brighten the house and garden and make me feel cosy and warm. I’ve actually have them on since the nights started to draw in around October.
2. Which celebrity would you most want as a friend, and what would you gift them for Christmas?
I did another quiz and I got: Demi Lovato- You’re a BO$$, who likes to surround yourself with strong, loyal, and motivating friends. You enjoy being around people who give good advice and have positive energy! Sounds true for me!
- What is your Christmas Eve routine?
- What is your favourite Christmas food?
