Umberto Giannini Grow Long Bundle Review

For a while now I’ve wanted to try and grow my hair, it always seems to take ages to grow. After lockdown I had it cut quite short and it didn’t grow back very well, it also doesn’t help that I wear it up all the time. Recently I’ve started wearing it down a bit more and I’ve been using straighteners a lot less, I love the natural look. My sister is the queen of beautiful looking natural hair, her hair is lovely and thick.

I saw this grow long bundle on boots website so I thought I would give it a go. These products claim to be the most powerful natural ingredients that help your scalp to grow new hair, slow down the loss of hair and hydrate from within to make it stronger, longer and healthier looking faster with results after 2 weeks. They are vegan and cruelty free.

I did initially think the price tag was a little steep at £30.00 but on trying the products they feel like they are worth so much more. When bought separately they are around £10.00 per product. So really, you are getting a good deal. I like the product design, however, the orange bottles and tubs don’t have the same feel as regular Umberto Giannini products with the rounded tops. They also do a similar range for curly hair and one for thin hair.

Ingredients in this range are:

  • Caffeine & Black Coffee Seed Extract to stimulate circulation
  • Organic Pea Sprout Extract to accelerate hair growth and prolong hair lifecycle
  • Seaweed, Marine Nutrients including Algae and Irish Moss for hair health.

My Review

Root Stimulating Shampoo and Hair Lengthening Conditioner

The shampoo and conditioner instantly hydrated my dry hair, I didn’t need to use a lot of conditioner as a little goes a long way. This left my hair soft and shiny, feeling much more hydrated, detangled and healthy. I usually need to wash my hair twice but with the shampoo it foamed up lovely and felt nice and clean after just one wash. All these products have a lovely sweet coffee smell, like a nice vanilla latte, not the strong bitter coffee smell.

Grow Tonic

I use the tonic after I’ve got out the shower and towel dried my hair, concentrating on the parts where I have really thin hair. It helps my scalp to feel fresh and stops it drying out like it usually would have a shower. It doesn’t leave hair feeling greasy and dries quickly. I leave it on to dry overnight. I have thinning hair on one side but I’ve already noticed new growth and thicker hair.

Grow Scalp Scrub

I’d been looking for a scalp scrub for a while, I’ve previously suffered psoriasis on my scalp. It cleared up but its starting to show signs of returning, probably with everything going on in the world. Its not to the extent it was before, but enough to do something about it now. I stopped drinking a while ago and have started taking vitamins, I’m looking after myself more and making time for self care and relaxation. Its made the psoriasis much better on the inside but I just needed something extra on the outside. This scrub helps by removing the itchy dead skin and build up to make way for new hair follicles and a healthier scalp.

Hemp, Coconut & Shea Grow Mask

This hair and scalp treatment mask is lovely for feeling that extra bit pampered. It smells amazing and you don’t need to leave it in too long to feel the effects. The mask stimulates circulation and improves hair condition. A little bit goes a long way.

Did my hair grow?

I’ve noticed less hair loss and breakage. I’ve been using the scrub which doubles as a shampoo and mask to condition my hair around twice a week with the tonic. The other days I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner with the tonic. I’ve noticed my natural hair oils have been restored which I’ve never had before. Maybe this was because I quit drinking but I definitely think these products have stopped my head being itchy and irritated by psoriasis. My hair feels much thicker, less frizzy, more volume and my patch of thin hair seems to be growing nicely, it seems to have grown by about an inch so I’m looking forward to seeing how long my hair is by the time I’ve used all the shampoo. I love these products and definitely recommend them for anyone who is looking to grow and thicken their hair.

  1. I have this shampoo and conditioner at the moment. I agree they smell amazing. I bought mine directly from their website where they often do discounts so I think I paid about £12 altogether.
I personally haven’t noticed extra hair growth but for me it’s a hard thing to measure as my hair is super fine and slow growing.
Saying that, I would definitely buy again as they are a wonderful vegan and cruelty free brand.

    1. I’ve been using the shampoo for almost 4 weeks and I can definitely see a difference. I absolutely love the smell of it, it’s fantastic! And indeed, I have got less breakage and more volume. But keep in mind that if you use the shampoo alone, it dries your hair roots. It’s not a problem for me but it might be for someone with a normal or dry hair.

  5. I’d love to give these a try! My hair is so thin so I’d definitely be willing to give them a go to see if it helps. Plus I’m a sucker for anything that smells nice too, and the vanilla latte scent sounds amazing! xx
