How to get salon worthy hair at home

AD | For the past ten years or so, I’ve been using the hairdryer and straighteners from the Babyliss diamond range. I love the design, how they perform and how long they have lasted.

I wanted a new set as my old ones were old, slightly damaged and not working as well as I wanted. I did a lot of comparisons with newer Babyliss ones, but they came out quite pricey.

I came across the Remington shine therapy hair dryer & straighteners. With amazing reviews across the internet and the great prices I had to give them a go.

MY REVIEW:

Hairdryer

The ionic technology drew me to this hairdryer, I have frizzy hair and needed a dryer that helped to reduce the frizz. My old dryer was quite heavy and noisy, not easy to manage and loud. I wanted something lightweight, easy to handle and quieter. This dryer had everything I needed.

After using the dryer I felt as though I’d stepped out of the salon. The cool air feature is one I enjoyed previously so was good to have on this model. It is a dream to use, great for if you are in a rush and brilliant for all hair types.

The dryer doesn’t come with a protective bag for travelling, you can buy one here.

Straighteners

I bought these because as I was reading reviews, one review in particular caught my attention. ‘Better than GHD’. I’d been looking at GHD’s for a while but the mixed reviews and price tag had put me off. My old set had started to pull on my hair and as this set features floating plates, it was just what I was looking for.

They glide through my hair so easy, I feel like I’ve been to a salon. The Argan oil makes your hair feel so soft and conditioned, its a treat, I also add extra hair oil or spray. The straighteners feel so comfy to hold compared to my last ones. I recommend these for all hair types. They go up to 230 degrees though I would recommend a lower temperature as not to damage your hair, especially if used daily.

They come with a handy heat resistant pouch to store them in and I kept my old heat resistant mat to use whilst styling and travelling. You can buy one here.

Both products have shortened my styling time and produced great results, I absolutely love these and they look great on my dressing table. If you are looking for a great product with fast easy results, this set is for you.

How to get Salon Worthy Hair:

Dry your hair without a nozzle first to remove excess moisture, then apply hair oil or spray to protect the hair. (Read my other blog for VO5 hair product reviews). Use the concentrator nozzle for blow dry results.

Apply heat protection spray or oil and divide your hair into sections and strands. Get your straighteners to the correct heat for your hair type. Take each strand, hold the hair taut, clamp the straighteners around it and smooth through the hair. Repeat until all strands and sections are finished.

Apply a finishing product such as hairspray.

What set do you currently use? What do you look for when buying styling products for your hair? Would you try these? What do you think to Remington products?

Warning: Please note these products MAY CONTAIN NUTS, Argan Oil may cause skin irritation or a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to people who are allergic to nuts.
