Why use CBD skincare products?

CBD creams and serums are great for moisturising and hydrating different skin types. I recommend the Holland & Barrett bundle (my review is based on this range) currently priced at £20.00 or available separately (as 26/06/20).

*Important* Before you start using them, check with your doctor to ensure it won’t affect any medication you are on. Always do a test to check your skin is not sensitive to any of the ingredients. Always check the ingredients and product label. Please note this product is not for ingestion.

What is CBD cream/serum?

CBD cream is a non-psychoactive (THC free) natural ingredient cream that comes with cannabinoids and phytonutrients. These ingredients are naturally found in plants. The Holland & Barrett (H&B) range is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The CBD and Hemp seed oils work together to help regulate the skin’s oil production giving you the correct balance for your skin type. The H&B range contain various antioxidant ingredients including Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil and the following:

CBD Day Cream- Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Vitamin E, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Grapefruit Peel Oil & Lavender.

CBD Night Cream- Shea Butter, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Vitamin E, Ylang Ylang Flower Oil, Bergamot, Grapefruit & Lavender Oil.

CBD Serum- Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot Peel Oil, Citrus Grapefruit peel oil & Lavender Oil.

How do you use it?

After cleansing, dab your face dry with a clean towel. Apply the serum first, it comes with a handy dropper- you only need a small amount. Then apply the cream to the area of your skin that is causing an issue or use as an all over cream like I do. Once you have rubbed to the affected area, it is gently absorbed through your skin. This range is available as a day cream and a night cream.

Why should I buy it?

CBD creams and serums are an alternative way of adding CBD to your daily routine. I’ve tried many face creams over the years but never found anything as good as this range. My dry skin has never been as hydrated, clear, calm or moisturised. I will always use this range- its 10/10 from me, hope they don’t discontinue! I’ve previously suffered psoriasis and i’m so glad I found this as it really helped.

The products come in cute antique looking boxes that compliment any beauty shelf. They aren’t perfumed so are perfect for skin prone to breakouts. They have a fresh natural plant smell and a little bit really does go a long way which means they last a long time.

There are no side effects and wont get you high as they are THC free. I wont make any medical claims but there are certainly benefits to using CBD products. People use it for anxiety relief, pain relief, anti-seizure, neurodegenerative disorders and anti-acne. I did find that when using the cream alone my skin felt tight but since using with the serum its felt much nicer.

What other CBD products are there?

Just about anything! You can get oils- my favourite is the peppermint flavour from Love Hemp range. Vapes, tea, coffee, water, chocolate. I’m currently using this hemp shampoo and my hair feels great. You can even get a tonic to go with your favourite gin (if you like the taste of ginger)! Just make sure you buy from a trusted retailer for quality safe products.

  1. I have really dry skin and find it really difficult to find products that are hydrating for me. Will definitely have to try some of these
